We'd like to introduce you to a true Chicago native. South Water Kitchen is a Midwestern son born on the southern banks of the Chicago River. Here you'll enjoy the comforting appeal of a friendly restaurant and relaxed tavern that casually caters to Loop locals and visitors alike. Outside, Chicago's streets bustle with a vibrancy that is distinctly Windy City. Inside South Water Kitchen, theatergoers, business folks and out-of-towners settle in and enjoy Executive Chef Roger Waysok's sumptuous creations. These are menus that don't require a foreign language degree, but do require a hearty appetite and the desire for truly delicious dishes. Several specials add to the appeal, including $5 and $6 sides and three-course Prix Fixe lunch ($22) and dinner ($35) menus that are sought after by the office set, the theater set and our many out of town guests. The Tavern, too, serves up a creative array of crafted cocktails, beers, wine, Downtown Dogs and other informal edibles. Located next to Hotel Monaco Chicago, South Water Kitchen is Chicago, through and through. Let us introduce you.
