Constellation Chicago's Frequency Series presents pianist Sarah Cahill, "a sterling pianist and an intrepid illuminator of the classical avant-garde" (The New York Times), in a concert celebrating some of recent history's most influential contemporary composers. Part of a nationwide tour celebrating the centennial of maverick American composer Lou Harrison's birth, the concert will include rarely heard unpublished scores by Harrison, plus music by Henry Cowell, Ruth Crawford, Pauline Oliveros, John Adams, John Cage, Virgil Thomson, and Chicago Symphony Orchestra Composer-in-Residence Samuel Carl Adams, who will be in attendance to introduce his piece.
