Product Manager

Position Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for developing and launching new products to expand JHs addressable market and deliver profitable PDG back to the business. This includes leading the thinking and execution on product development and line extensions, research, pricing, supply chain, installation, and market programs. The Product Manager will oversee the launch and market rollout of their product. This position will have high interaction and shared accountability with the R and D Product Development team and the Supply Chain team during the development phase, and with the Sales, Install, and Marketing team during launch phases. This position does not have any direct reports. Travel is expected to be up to 40.
Position Responsibilities
Product Development (33):
:Partner with R and D, Best Practices, and Supply Chain team to oversee the development of a new product
:Ensure new product meets the expectations established in the Product Requirement Specification, including product design, application, cost/profitability, etc.
:Develop required supporting collateral for product
Market Launch (33)
:Oversee the launch of new products into new markets
:Ensure market launches have a fully implemented supply chain and distribution solution
:Ensure the commitment and availability of sales and installation resources to support market rollouts
:Develop sales collateral and training tools
:Provide strategic guidance around the 4 Ps to the local market sales team to optimize execution
:Perform market sizing and analysis to determine target launch markets
Ensure the Delivery of Profitable PDG (33)
:Post:Launch Visibility and oversight : ensure we are delivering on forecasted profitability and volume expectations
:Assess Sales capability / execution and lead coverage of gaps
:Assess production capability and efficiency and lead coverage of gaps

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (required):

:Ability to analyze business, market trends and partner feedback to better refine product offerings and drive business growth
:Strong bias for results and ability to work independently as well as interact effectively across functions and at all levels
:Demonstrated history developing and maintaining strong relationships with potential partners across industry
:Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing value chain, supply chain and manufacturing environment
:Ability to achieve alignment and buy in for strategies and plans to drive achievement of goals
:Demonstrated ability to successfully understand profit and loss techniques and skills to develop and evaluate business goals and strategies, analyze information to derive insights and implications to initiate planning and/or re:planning, and controlling actual results versus budget
:Results:oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
:Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals
:Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and proprietary software)
:Willingness and ability to travel up to 50

Education/Experience (required):
:Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Engineering or related field
:Five or more years of e
