Ref ID: 01300-9500887066Classification: ParalegalCompensation: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per yearREAL ESTATE TAX ANALYST OR PARALEGAL Real Estate Tax paralegal needed to work with a growing group located downtown Chicago. The Real Estate Tax Paralegal will be responsible for calendaring property tax assessments and appeal deadlines, identifying and obtaining financial and other records needed for assessment appeals and to assist attorneys in drafting property assessment appeals. Will work with other tax analysts under attorney supervision. The work includes the following: . constant monitoring and docketing of filing deadlines of various jurisdictions and agencies; . identification of financial and other records needed from clients and follow up with clients to obtain documentation well in advance of filing deadlines; . extensive client contact to explain appeal process and to identify and obtain information and records needed to support assessment appeals; . coordination and direction of work of appraisers; . comparison of real estate sales and analysis of financial information (eg, income capitalization) to determine property values; and . assist attorneys in drafting briefs to support assessment appeals before administrative agencies as well as lawsuits in courts.
