Job Description
Company provides valves, valve parts, valve testing products, and valve
maintenance/testing services to domestic and international commercial nuclear power customers.
:Perform the duties of the Quality Assurance Engineer as defined in the NQAM and supplementing procedures (Review customer purchase orders, review of engineering design in:put/out:puts, review of procurement documents, review and release of Work Order Routings, prepare document packages for the manufacture / construction of valves or valves parts.
:Assist with the administration, implementation and oversight of the Quality Assurance Program for Valve and Valve Parts.
:Perform Auditor activities including internal auditing (quality program review and maintenance), external auditing, perform supplier assessments, review of supplier programs and control and maintenance of ASL associated with the suppliers.
:Determine root causes and provide recommendations to eliminate nonconforming issues in deficiency reports (DRs), Corrective Action Reports, Problem Reports, etc.
:Interface with management and other Company associates, customers, ANI, suppliers and oversight organizations (NUPIC, NRC, ASME, NBIC, CSA, etc.) in meetings and as required in the execution of Company.
:Participate in Company Kaizen Events, Planning and budget activities associated with meeting plan, forecast, other company metrics and goals.
:Participate in other program maintenance and forecast activities as assigned by the Director Safety and Quality.
:BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
:Knowledge of industry Standards such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is essential.
:Knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, ANSI N45.2, NQA:1 and other piping codes is preferred.
:Previous experience in a production environment is essential
:Experience in Lean Manufacturing and other lean skills preferable
:Excellent computer skills are essential, including Microsoft Office
:Experience with material standards (ASME, ASTM, etc.), manufacturing, and specials processes.
