Are you a heavy alcohol drinker? Participate in the Chicago Social Drinking Project!

The Chicago Social Drinking Project (CSDP) at the University of Chicago is a research study examining how a wide range of social drinking young adults respond to common substances (like alcohol, caffeine, and antihistamines).

The study is currently interested in enrolling participants with moderate to heavy weekly alcohol consumption.

Study Involves
• 4, in-person study visits
• Consuming a beverage that contains alcohol, caffeine, or an antishitamine
• Completing questionnaires, behavioral tasks, and providing breath and blood pressure readings
• Doing follow-up interviews online or over the phone at 6 month intervals

→ $325 for completing study visits
→ $40-60 for each follow-up interview
→ Transportation reimbursement to each visit and provided ride home following each drinking session

Time Commitment
Visit 1: 2.5 hours
Visit 2: 4-5 hours
Visit 3: 4-5 hours
Visit 4: 7-8 hours

All visits can be scheduled at your convenience and completed between 1-4 weeks time (based on availability)

• Drink alcohol at least 4 times per week
• Age 21-35
• Weigh between 110-250 lbs
• Available for study visits Monday-Friday starting between 10:30am-2:30 pm
