The role of the Colocation Sales Executive is to drive new sales and revenue growth in a geographic territory and/or vertical industry. Primary function of role is to prospect for new client relationships in the defined regional and/or geographic territory. Colocation Sales Executives are expected to use consultative selling skills along with a strong understanding of the data center and technology industries to originate opportunities and achieve quota attainment in the data center/colocation business. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate historic success in developing new client relationships where they have had consistent success in meeting or exceeding new sales targets. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high growth infrastructure technology organization with significant earnings potential.Key Responsibilities:Prospect for colocation sales with new clientsIn collaboration with management, develop territory plan, including prospecting activitiesManagement of the opportunity through deal close including providing forecasting and activity.Engage executives both with prospect / client as well as within the to accelerate sales cycle and improve close win ratePresent Company’s compelling value proposition at an an executive levelMeeting with prospects, partners and peers, including participation in joint sales calls to customersLeverage and direct sales engineering, marketing, partners and overlay resources as appropriateParticipation in territory events and trainingUse product promotions and programs to maximize successAttendance of events, trade shows, and conference calls as designated by managementMaintaining subject matter knowledge of colocation product offeringsRequired Qualifications:Strong working knowledge of CRM and productivity tools including salesforce.com and Microsoft OfficeMinimum of 5 years of experience selling colocation and/or data center solutions to businessesMinimum of 6 years of professional experienceBA/BS Degree or equivalent experienceAbility to travel regionally #LI-POST1Alternate Location: US-Illinois-ChicagoRequisition #: 123227This job may require successful completion of an online assessment.
