Thompson Street Opera Company is seeking a Stage Manager for its fall production of Cosmic Ray and the Amazing Chris, a new opera by Eric Lindsay.

Show description:

As Chris prepares to attend Comic Con with his best friends, he desperately searches in the pages of his favorite superhero comic for some guidance in his floundering life. His quarter-life crisis comes to a head at the Con, where he is confronted by both his own self-doubt, and by another attendee. Will Chris get his life together? Will Cosmic Ray, his fictional idol, succeed in saving the earth? And if he does, will he save Chris in the process?

This contemporary coming-of-age story features catchy, rock-inflected music, moments of both hilarity and heartbreak, and characters that all of us can recognize in our own lives.
