Runcible Theatre seeks a stage manager for its fall production ofBlue/Orange by Joe Penhall, performed at the Gallery in the Royal George Theatre with an ensemble of three actors.

“In a London psychiatric hospital, an enigmatic patient claims to be the son of an African dictator—a story that becomes unnervingly plausible. BLUE/ORANGE is an incendiary tale of race, madness and a Darwinian power struggle at the heart of a dying National Health Service.”

Production Dates:

- 1st rehearsal: August 14th

- Load In/Tech: Sept 24th

- Open: Sept 29th

- Closing and Strike: Oct 29th

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- take line and blocking notes

- Attend production meetings, rehearsals, tech rehearsals and performances
- Work with director to create a safe, supportive environment for actors and production team
- Provide necessary documents by agreed upon deadlines

- Ensure the design, performance and all artistic aspects of the show remain in working condition until closing

- Be the first line of communication between director, actors, and design team

Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in stage management
- Degree in theatre a plus
- Shows leadership in the theatrical process and initiative in problem-solving

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Attention to detail is a must
