Ability to accurately and efficiently utilize the FirmA?s records management application involving basic functionality in addition to performing research, reporting and troubleshooting. Use of other FirmA?s applications for research purposesProcess requests via phone, email and/or records management applicationsPrepare files/boxes for off:site storageArrange for timely delivery and return of requested material from both on:site and off:site locations in Chicago and other U.S. offices as requestedEffectively communicate with off:site vendors and telephoneReview, sanitize and prepare client material for transfer to outside firms including review of electronic dataResponsible for project management of file transfer requests, including accurate documentation, records management software tracking and data entry in Chicago as well as other offices as assignedOther records and records management related projects as assigned by Information Governance Records Supervisor or U.S. Records Manager, for Chicago initiatives, as well as projects associated with other Mayer Brown officesPerform electronic inventory utilizing portable scannersAnalyze off:site storage vendor online databases, invoices, review for discrepancies and cost cutting measuresProvide training and assistance to employees in Chicago and other U.S. offices in records creation, retention, storage, search, retrieval, and reviewCollege Degree preferred or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 2:5 years Records Management System experienceMust be proficient in MS Word, Excel, OutlookLegalKEY or other records management software/tracking experience preferredExhibits a high level of customer service skillsDemonstrates excellent verbal and written skillsSelf:motivated, able to attend to and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines; strong time management skillsHighly organized, detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy and quality, possesses exceptional follow:through and critical thinking skillsDisplays a strong knowledge of statistical techniques in problem solving :: focusing on bottom:line resultsEffectively communicates goals and interplay of ideas and concepts, ability to seek out fresh approachesMust be dependable, flexible, cooperative, reliable and responsibleSkillfully transfers manual functions to computerized systemsPhysical mobility and ability to move/lift boxes, files, binders ,etc. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and operate carts, hand trucks, etc. We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD and D insurance, 401(k) savings plan, back:up childcare and eldercare, generous vacation and personal/sick plan, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
