Third Coast International Audio Festival (TCIAF)
seeks a Managing Director to support the organization’s mission to bring exceptional audio documentaries of all styles to audiences worldwide, foster the work of producers engaged in contemporary audio culture and inspire the next generation of listeners and producers. From the radio show/podcast Re:sound , to the international competition, from the plentiful listening events to the acclaimed annual conference, the TCIAF reaches tens of thousands of people each week.

Reporting to TCIAF’s Executive Director, the Managing Director will help guide and strengthen the operations of the organization in support of TCIAF’s artistic vision and potential. The MD will help TCIAF grow the capacity of our organization, including audience size (producers and listeners, across our many platforms) and funding base.

Contribute to short and long-term strategic planning to ensure TCIAF’s ability to fulfill its mission in the rapidly evolving field of radio/podcasting
Create (as needed), improve and maintain TCIAF’s operational systems for accounting, fundraising and programming initiatives
Develop strategies to ensure the financial health of the organization
Create a strategy for tracking, setting goals and benchmarking audience engagement and growth; Report results to staff and board
Facilitate changes and updates to to improve the site’s performance and build audience

Sampling of specific duties:

Contributes to live event strategy, planning and management
Re:sound management: negotiating acquisition of licenses for work presented on the program
Helps develop marketing strategies (social networking etc) to promote TCIAF programming efforts from a weekly and annual perspective
Oversees quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals to share with TCIAF Board of Directors
Seeks underwriting/trades/sponsorships to support programming initiatives
Seeks matching monies and incentives for annual fund drive

Job Requirements
TCIAF is seeking applicants with 5 years leadership experience, preferably in arts and/or non-profit worlds. This person should have experience developing organizational strategies, raising funds and overseeing financial management. Experience in radio and/or media preferred. A big listener to radio/podcasts greatly preferred.
