The Fixed Wing Avionics and C4ISR Manager Business Planning reports directly to the business unit Vice President (VP) and is responsible for ensuring that the VP’s vision and direction is translated into reality. The Manager Business Planning supports directors and managers across the organization and represents the views of the business unit VP in order to facilitate change management in support of the strategic plan. This position also manages the administrative and operational affairs, and communications across the business unit, and facilitates the dissemination of information from Sector and Division, and expedites the implementation of business initiatives. This position will be responsible for a broad range of FWA & C4ISR internal business integration elements including the following: · Participation in strategy development: Drives execution of strategic initiatives and tasks initiated by the VP FWA & C4ISR by working with solid and dotted line business leaders across the organization. Participates in the development, review and reporting preparation of the LRSP, AOP, Pipeline and Prompt Start reviews. · Coordination of Division, Sector & Corporate reviews: Coordinates the development, review and updates of periodic reporting of business unit performance with coordinated financial and non-financial metrics such as monthly Business Unit Reviews, quarterly Division Day reviews, Corporate Priority Watch List / Sector Priority Watch List (CPWL/SPWL) briefings, Corporate Priority Win / Sector Priority Win/Division Priority Win (CPW/SPW/DPW) briefings, and other briefings/reports in support of division, sector and/or corporate data calls. Provides clear and concise direction to the business unit leadership team resulting from dry runs/draft review comment of the business unit VP or Division GM. · Facilitation / management of reports and internal/external meetings: Anticipates and manages the materials, data and presentation needs for upcoming reports, meetings and events such as staff meetings and monthly reports. Ensures IPRS compliance on content and suspense date including Return to Green (RTG) plans. Streamlines business unit review packages and gives guidance to team. Generates/coordinates meeting minutes and ensures action items are addressed and closed in a timely manner. Streamlines reporting format and methodology and eliminates redundancy in reports and reviews. Ensures deadlines are met and builds business unit reputation as one that meets commitments with quality input, first time, every time . Represents business unit on Division IT committee. · Provides direct support to business unit VP: Coordinates with executive admin and provides guidance on VP calendar, reviews, meetings, and travel requests. Develops and coordinates the review of talking points and speeches for internal and external appearances. Coordinates and/or prepares internal and external presentations. Prepares rough drafts and edits correspondence and other writings by VP. Coordinates Director staff on various business unit activities. Handles various recurring and ad hoc administrative tasks. Ensure business unit compliance with company procedures. Supports the VP in cultivation of relationships with corporate, sector and division executive leadership team members, strategic partners, suppliers and other stakeholders. May occasionally represent the VP in internal and external meetings. Briefs the business unit VP on key issues, challenges and decisions made at meetings. Plans and executes FWA & C4ISR Leadership Offsites. · Provides leadership and support to the business unit executive management team: Provides special support to VP staff. Identifies potential leadership and business training to the various operating unit personnel. · Manages NCTA, capital, overhead and discretionary funds to achieve a positive impact on the FWA & C4ISR business: Manages NCTA and capital budgets and activities to ensure plans and spending are in accordance with business unit objectives. Maintains business unit IRAD, M&S and proposal plans and budgets, including multiyear NCTA database. Manages business unit overhead budget. Manages floor space plan and facility updates for the business unit. · Supports a culture of engagement within the business unit team: Analyzes and shares engagement and inclusion data with business unit leadership team and facilitates dialogue about the employee survey. Collaborates on development and implementation of business unit and operating unit action plans and initiatives. Monitors progress on engagement, inclusion and PM effectiveness activities. Manages BRAVO reward and recognition budget for the business unit.
