Overview of General Responsibilities:

The Sr. Design Engineer is primarily responsible for the design and development of complex engineering designs. Decision making becomes apparent in order to implement the designs into manufacturing. Additional responsibilities include presenting and making recommendations to upper level management in both oral and written forms and be responsible for supporting and guiding engineers of less experience in their day to day activities. The ability to resolve and implement corrective action steps when technical problems occur is necessary. Additionally this position requires the engineer to interact and contribute within a cross functional team environment.

Senior Electrical Engineeer Experience:
5 years to 10 years of Engineering experience.
Experience must have a core framework established in areas of design and project development in a related field.
A MSEE or equivalent education may substitute for 2 years of experience.
A BSEET or associate degree may also be considered depending on the amount of design experience.
Knowledge of embedded control hardware or firmware design.
A minimum of a BSEE is required, however depending on the amount of experience in design and development areas and positions guidelines, an equivalent degree in areas such as physics may be acceptable.

Design Electrical Engineer II Experience:
An Advanced degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
BSEE with 3 years experience or ASEE with 5 years or equivalent experience
Knowledge of embedded control hardware or firmware design.

System Engineer Experience:
Minimum level of experience is 5 years.
Product development in an Agile environment is desired
Object-oriented programming experience is desired.
Experience with TCP, UDP, HTTP, Web Sockets, MQTT or other connected protocol is a plus.
Networking experience is desired
Embedded integration with cloud and server back end infrastructures is a plus.
Experience in all aspects of a product life cycle is required – Requirements, Design, Development, HW/SW integration and test.
Can demonstrate debugging skills and problem solving ability.
Excellent understanding of application development tools, processes, and technologies
Object oriented programming in C#, C++, Java, or .Net is a plus.
Proficient in use of basic bench equipment such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and power supply is required. Can debug simple defects on hardware prototypes.
