Responsible for all circulation sales and marketing revenue, expenses, budgeting, promotional programs and customer service. Supervised six department heads with an employee compliment of over 200, including 40 seat inbound customer service center, 24-seat outbound call center and 20 virtual agent/collectors.
• Reversed a five year circulation decline of 88,000 per day in 1995 and produced three consecutive positive yearly audit reports showing increases of over 30,000 per day (year/year 1995/1998)
• Created and implemented promotional programs with Colorado State Lottery, McDonald’s, 7-Eleven and numerous other retailers resulting in over 500,000 additional single copy sales and 250,000 subscriptions
• Developed subscriber retention programs that reduced subscriber stops from 425,000 in 1995 to 222,000 in 1998, thus saving over a million dollars each year.
