Job Description:The Instructional Designer plans, maintains and develops training materials programs and/or curricula to meet specific business objectives, recommends the appropriate modality/training solution for projects (eLearning, video, classroom, job aids) and is primarily responsible for creative and developing media for online learning solutions (illustrations, graphics, animations, simulations, online games). This position collaborates on development projects with business partners and key stakeholders and recommends and creates the best learning experience for both internal and external clients. The eLearning Instructional Designer also develops learning assessments and training evaluations and analyzes results.Job Location: Arlington Heights, IL. Open to remote capabilities after initial training of 2-3 months.Performance Objectives/Job Duties:*Plan, organize, maintain and develop training materials, programs and/or curricula to meet specific business objectives.*Consults with business partners and stakeholders to perform training needs analysis and determines proper approach to design development, and implementation of learning programs.*Recommend method for delivery such as instructor led, eLearning, blended, or other media taking into account audience, business needs, and requirements.*Recommend and execute the technical development of training programs and products by using various software applications*Incorporate graphics, video, or photography to support course development.*Develop learning assessments and training evaluations plus analyze results.*Ensure all materials are consistent and aligned with learning and development guidelines and established standards.*Responsible for technical quality and function of all courses*Additional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Communications, or related field or equivalent work experience2-5 years' experience developing eLearning projects.Computer skills required. Expert in all Microsoft Office Products.Proficiency in eLearning toolsKnowledge of latest technology in eLearning, Webinars, social media etc.Knowledge of training and development practices and methods including needs assessment and instruction design for instructor led, virtual, online, and blended training.Knowledge of learning theories and principles including adult learning theory.Ability to organize and manage multiple projectsAbility to design learning measurements.Professional written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail and analytical skills.Preferred Qualifications: *Proficiency with Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline preferred*Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Flash preferredRelated Keywords: Instructional Design, instructional designer, e-learning, Webinars, blended training, online training, virtual training,
