Job DescriptionTeacher Posting:Our mission at A Mothers Touch is to provide a safe and loving place where children can learn and grow at their own pace. Through this awareness of self and community, we strive to promote peace and kindness towards others.Role:We are seeking a full time teacher that loves babies, whose values, strengths and experiences align with our mission and philosophy. Responsibilities:The teacher will be responsible for co-teaching within a classroom setting and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.The teacher will prepare and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans and be knowledgeable of and uphold DCFS and AMT policies and procedures.The teacher will be responsible for completing annual in-service and required trainings in a timely fashion. Qualifications Relating to Education and Experience:The teacher will have a minimum of an associates degree, bachelors degree preferred.The teacher will have a minimum of 6 credits in early childhood or child development, 12-21 ECE/CD credits preferred.The teacher will have at least 1 or more years experience in a DCFS licensed child care setting.Teachers will be responsible for obtaining a Gateways membership and credential.Knowledge of and experience with the Environmental Rating Scales and Illinois Early Learning Guidelines and Standards is preferred.
