Academic Transplant Surgeon - Loyola University Medical Center Academic Transplant Surgeon - LUMC The Department of Surgery, Division of Transplantation, at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine seeks to recruit an Academic Transplant Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate level. The candidate should have a strong interest in liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation. Clinical activities include adult liver and kidney transplantation including living donor surgery. Other activities include vascular access, hepatobiliary, and general surgery procedures. The candidate should develop an independent basic science or clinical research effort related to transplantation or allo-immunity. Candidates must be board eligible/certified in general surgery and possess a valid Illinois medical license before start date. Candidates should be fully trained in an American Society of Transplant Surgery (ASTS) approved fellowship and meet UNOS criteria for a liver and kidney transplant surgeon. UNOS criteria for living donor liver and pancreas transplantation would also be desirable. Selected individual will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching, research, and university service. Salary and level of appointment will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
