Canvas measures 24" x 36". The frame is in very good condition. The painting/canvas is in good condition - it has a small pucker (small stretched area) by the lion cub's head and has some faint moisture marks in the lower left corner if you look closely. ABOUT THE ARTIST
Maher Morcos began his career as an artist at age 13 where he began selling his watercolors to tourists that depicted scenes of daily life among the ancient ruins of Egypt. By age 15, he had his first one-man show in Cairo. He earned his college degree in Architecture and Fine Art in 1968. After finishing college, Morcos left Egypt and ventured to Chicago where he first began to sell his work through art galleries and exhibitions. By 1971, he traveled to Paris to study fashion design and later to Rio De Janeiro. In 1975, Morcos returned to Chicago to focus on his passion for American western art. Morcos won many medals and honors in prestigious art shows and is a noted artist with highly collectible works.
