Business Manager (Chicago)


Jessica Lagrange Interiors is a high-end, full service residential interior architecture and design
firm with a pleasant, collaborative work atmosphere. The projects we select are diverse and
located primarily in the Chicagoland area and beyond. Our clients enjoy the personal attention
and classic, yet forward thinking, design we offer.
Due to the scope of our current projects, as well as the continued growth of our company, we are
looking to add a full-time Business Manager to the team. In addition to a competitive salary, we

The Candidate We Seek:
Will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our office, including all bookkeeping aspects
(both business and personal) and office management. The Business Manager will report directly
to the Principal and work with the Senior staff to manage employees and projects. The Business
Manager will also work closely with the company’s CPA, attorneys, business consultants and IT
company as required.

A/P and A/R (including all product, services, reimbursable expenses, petty cash and time billing
Banking and Credit Card Reconciliation (including team member credit cards and Principal
Monthly Sales Tax (multi-state) and Annual Income Tax Management
Insurance Management
Reporting: weekly Work-in-Progress, bi-monthly cashflow, profitability and collection
Contract and RFP submittal and review and processing new projects and rates.
Human Resources: Employee onboarding (including non-compete and social media agreements),
payroll administration, benefit management (medical/dental, worker’s compensation, 401k, FSA
accounts, cell phone reimbursement), PTO management, assistance with talent acquisition
Assistance with Marketing, Inventory and other Company functions as required.

Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university (Interior Design firm
experience is preferred)
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing all aspects of an office as mentioned above
Proficient in Microsoft, Studio Designer (Webware) and Adobe programs
Excellent (and articulate) communication, presentation, and problem solving skills

Exact Salary
Commensurate with experience
