Audit car repair billing to TTX for compliance to the AAR Interchange Rules, identify trend billing, recover overcharges for improper/wrong repairs through written exception letters, and process CBA's received. Audit car repair billing to TTX for Shop payable billing and process credit memos received. Audit TTX FMO billing involving TTX owned equipment. Identify enhancements to the mechanized audit system.
:Associate degree from college or university; or minimum of two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
:Related experience is defined as shop, railroad, or FMO biller, car repair person or private car line/railroad AAR Billing auditor. Qualifications to be verified through an assessment that will demonstrate the knowledge base regarding AAR Interchange Rules and equipment.
:This position requires the employee to be very diligent and meticulous as the auditing of AAR bills is a very detail orientated process. The employee must also be tenacious when reviewing exception letter responses to ensure billing is in full compliance with AAR Interchange Rules and TTX requirements and to avoid any undesirable precedents within the billing.
:Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to generate reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, or other personnel within TTX.
:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
:Demonstrate good communication skills in responding to issues and concerns regarding car repair billing.
:Ability to utilize established WebFocus computer programs, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
:Ability to use industry services such as the Railinc EHMS and Early Warning systems
:to research alerts involving TTX equipment.
:Working knowledge of railroad equipment, the corresponding repair processes and procedures along with the appropriate AAR Interchange Rules related to the equipment.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
General office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to remain stationary within work area and occasionally move about and use hands and fingers, handle, feel, reach, stoop, and crouch. The employee must occasionally transport up to 10 pounds. Correctable vision required.
