CTO Operations and Finance – Senior Manager
What you’ll do
Finance - Supervise overall day-to-day accounting operations
  • Compile and analyze financial information to provide strategic recommendations and solutions for the firm’s business and financial growth. Work with Tax leadership, (PPD’s, CTO, CFO), to build out the FY budget.
  • Make spending recommendations throughout the FY to leadership.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Maintain and organize record keeping
  • Process monthly invoices – est. 50 per month
  • Manage CTO Operating expenses – Both P&A and Contracting Dollars
  • Oversee ITS budget. Manage relationship w/ITS and Tax, report to and troubleshoot project issue with CTO leadership
  • Oversee compliance license budget
  • Keep accurate monthly project Forecasts and project Burn Rates
  • Work with finance team to optimize monthly and annual profit and loss account balance sheet
  • Analyze revenues to ensure they are recorded properly
  • Examine accounting reports for completeness, accuracy and conformance with accounting requirements - Prepare journal entries for approval to correct coding errors
  • Work with other FSS’s leads, PPD’s and their accounting depts to confirm proper budgets/billing/payments are made
  • Assist with audits, various special projects, year-end requirements
  • Proactively offer cost saving solutions to firm leadership
  • Help to maintain/structure and implement an appropriate process of internal controls, accounting standards, and finance procedures
    Operations - Supervise overall day-to-day department operations
  • Supervise contract for hire and FTE Recruiting. Working with Deloitte recruiting and staffing vendors to find the right talent for the job. Work with leadership to make hiring recommendations.
  • Supervise a team of 6 USI professionals that help with all aspects of operations and finance
  • Develop Portfolio management reporting strategy so leadership has finance and milestone clarity over the department’s portfolio of projects.
  • Supervise Onboard/Off board of workforce to Deloitte Network
  • Organize Monthly and Bi-weekly Reporting (where applicable) on all CTO High Priority Projects
  • Manage Department Headcount – Includes mapping all current roles and future needs to the CTO org chart
  • Write/distribute Department communication’s
  • Responsible for New-hire onboarding – welcome notes, access, overall relationship management
  • Manage and make recommendations on R&R spend to leadership
  • Develop Tableau dashboards for executive leadership consumption that pertain to finance, headcount, recruiting, etc
    Procurement - Supervise overall day-to-day procurement operations
    • Cross check budget with SOW agreements being signed
    • Reporting:
      • Quarterly SOW tracker report
      • Quarterly Vendor feedback surveys
The team
Deloitte Tax LLP's National Chief Technology & Process Office (CTPO) is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of technology, tools, and standard processes to support the delivery of Tax services. The CTPO team is focused on enhancing Deloitte Tax LLP's ability to deliver comprehensive, value-added, and efficient Tax services to our clients. It is a dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds from tax technical, technology development, change management, Six Sigma, and project management. The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design, and implementation.
Our Strategic Tax Application Center (STAC) within CTPO is greatly expanding as a result of the success we have had delivering technology-enabled tax products and services to our clients. STAC focuses on building the next generation tax platform and suite of tax modules to deliver premiere tax service offerings and technology solutions to our tax practitioners and clients. There is a growing demand from our clients, and within our tax platform, for greater levels of functionality and scalability around data management, analytics, and reporting.
